Virginia commenced her working career in Insurance. After 6 years in that industry, her love of numbers guided a career change to Accounting. Working in small business and contracting to gain real life experience to incorporate with her practical study was a long haul. Virignia finally landed a start up role as Assistant Accountant for a multinational car component company. After four years it was time for a new challenge and she accepted a senior role as Company Accountant of a New Zealand based distribution company. After starting a family in 2002, full-time work no longer her passion, she returned to a part-time Fund Accountant role with a Property Development Company. After adding twin girls to the family in 2005 and then taking leave from work for over 3 years, it was time to return to work. Virginia is currently working part-time in the role of Bookkeeper/Accountant for several small businesses in various industries, including graphic design!
Virginia pays everybody and is still able to make sure there is enough petty cash tin to keep the caffeine flowing. Her friendly ‘nothing is too hard’ attitude is a breath of fresh air for us creatives as MYOB is always at the top of our ‘software to avoid’ list (along with Microsoft Publisher).
